Hair removal

History has revealed that people have spent a significant amount of time trying remove hair from their bodies.

Sharpened stones, shells, tweezers, strings, sugar, bee’s wax, tree sap, peaches, white wine, sticky ivy extract, donkey’s fat, goat’s bile, bat’s blood, viper powder, starch and limestone are just a few of the ingredients that have been used through the ages.

Evidence of attempts to remove hair date back to 4000-3000 B.C. and reveal that this obsession with hair removal was related to both the pursuit of beauty and fashion standards as well as hygiene.
